I recently discovered that my color season is spring. Yes. I am a SPRING.
It may seem ridiculous, but I honestly spent an entire weekend adjusting to this news. The Spring palette is the opposite of everything in my closet. 😅
I've long been a faded black tee, combat boot, and chunky silver jewelry kind of girlie. (An "it wasn't a phase, Mom!" kind of adult, if you will.)
However, I learned a long time ago that the best things in life aren't always what we expect. And I'm trying to apply that wisdom to my Spring revelation.
Sometimes, what we've always done isn't what serves us best. This is a lesson I've had branded into my heart and mind (because life can be a bitch sometimes).
Friendships, work, religion, family—they've all transformed from what I've always known to what is actually best for me in recent years. (Maybe I'll write more on that soon...)
So, while I still reach for all my shades of black, I'm learning to embrace spring's warm, bright, and vibrant colors. 😆 I'm discovering that yellow shirts, lime green nail polish, and gold jewelry are lovely additions to my life.
Kind of like the 1,000 other things I've learned serve my life better than what I've "always" known and done.
So...Happy Spring 🌷🌼
